Article: Esthet-X Case Study:
An Independent Clinician’s View Of The Material
Author: Dr. Darragh Mulrooney

Having learned Esthet-X had achieved Reality International Product 2001 (plus 5 star rating), we decided it was worth putting it through its paces.

We were immediately impressed with the ease of use with Esthet-X, its versatility and its adaptability across a wide range of clinical cases.

Esthet-X ease of use was highlighted to us within the two featured composite veneer cases 1 and 2 (see right). Though complex in nature, each took a total of 2 hours to complete.

In that time the material was a joy to work with, highly sculptable, it is simple to do exactly what you need to do, with precision. Its versatility was demonstrated in the wide variety of components available, allowing the clinician an easy transition from an impressive array of body shades from incisal translucencies to opaque shading options. Included was a useful key in the form of the patented recipe shade guide to assist in transitional shading decisions. It then displayed impressive high lustre and sheen on polishing.

Additional strong selling points of this material were the conservative approach that could be adopted towards tooth preparation, the ability of the clinician to directly control the end result chair side, the absence of a substantive laboratory bill and a same day result for the patient.

The final and most significant criteria was, as always, a beaming smile and the level of patient satisfaction at the finished result!
