Unique simplicity and natural aethetics have made Ceram.X a leading new generation nano-ceramic composite. Ideal for the single translucency technique, Ceram.X mono comes in seven versatile shades covering all patient needs.
Ceram.X Mono offers improved modelling performance with improved handling features such as reduced stickiness and improved slump resistance. These optimised characteristics have been achieved with Ceram.X mono through the use of a modified nano-filler.
Ceram.X is a composite by material class. Nano-ceramic technology is a combination of nano-technology and organic-modified ceramic. The inorganic structure which is similar to technical ceramics also provide outstanding resistance to crack propagation, resulting in exceptionally high fracture toughness as natural dentine. The new photo-inhibitor system extended the working time significantly to 180 seconds, 3 times more than the conventional composites, offering handling convenience. The use of nano-technology also improved the handling characteristics of Ceram.X, offering non-sticky and no-slump consistency. Different from other composites, Ceram.X contains organic and inorganic structure in matrix, which reduced the resin content to 12%. Together with the nano-particles, Ceram.X reduce signficantly monomer leakage, resulting in excellent biocompatibility.
Ceram.X mono can be used for all cavity classes independently.
Ceram.X Mono offer: i.shade label, which shows the ideal recipe of Ceram.X Mono, with reference to VITA shades, the recipe is confirmed by the leading shading experts; and a shade guide of original material, which allows dentists to see the true color of originally cured materials, instead of plastic material. Ceram.X Mono is designed to cover the full range of VITAPAN shade guide, and the recipe is confirmed by eight external shade experts.
Ceram.X mono and duo should be used separately according to the recipe on i-shade label. Ceram.X Mono, with medium opacity of 40-50%, is ideal to be used for mono-layer technique. Ceram.X Duo, with enamel shades with opacity of 20% (as natural enamel), and dentine shades with opacity around 60% (as natural dentine), is designed to be used for for the double-layer technique.
Ceram.X Mono is compatible to both self-etching adhesive (e.g. Xeno V) and conventional adhesive with total-etch technique (e.g. Prime&Bond NT). Dentists can select bonding agents according to their preferred technique. For unground enamel, we recommend using total-etch technique (e.g. Prime&Bond NT).
PoGo is proven to provide the best polishing results with composites, therefore, it is ideal for Ceram.X Mono. Ceram.X Mono is also compatible with X.flow, with the small compula, X.flow offers excellent result for small cavities and liner.
Ceram.X Mono is designed to store at room temperature and humidity of 80%. To ensure the ideal paste consistency for the global market, Ceram.X Mono is packaged in blister and pouch during the transportation and warehouse storage. For daily practice, we advise dentists to open pouch/blister prior use only. After opening of blister and pouch, material can last up to 2 months. Dry storage conditions can prolong the usable period. Humidity may affect the consistency of the paste but has no effect on the physical properties of the material.
Ceram.X Mono can be cured by LED lights and plasma lamps, please refer to the curing time advised by the manufacturer of the curing lamps. For halogen lamp (>500mW/cm2), the curing time for 2 mm is 20 seconds.
